Game 2 The Match-up Result

SMB after a poor showing on the first game of this titular series got back on work and pounded BGK’s defense and leveled the series 95-78. Early on it seems that BGK is on another blistering start but SMB mananged to dictate the tempo with their half-court set plays. This particular game truly showed the vast difference on manpower match-ups.

Series tied 1-1

Freeman, Gabriel 23pts 17rebs 3asts 1stl 2blks vs Noel, David 20pts 8rebs 3asts 2stls --- this time I give the edge to this conference’s Best Import, Mr. Freeman, other than providing and counterinmg his rivals production (abnd more) he gave his team the intensity and energy that Noel seem to lack.

Villanueva, Jonas 8pts 3rebs 2asts 1stl 1blk vs Helterbrand, Jayjay 15pts 3rebs 4asts ---- edge for JJ, despite his somewhat lackluster performance. Kudos for BPC awards, and better luck next game.

Hontiveros, Dondon 14pts 4rebs 1asts  vs Baguio, Cyrus 7pts 1rebs 1ast 1stl ---- Dondon is still struggling to find his usual game, but much worse is Cyrus who kept on turning the ball over –unchallenged at times.

Washington, Jay 17pts 3rebs 2asts  vs Salvacion, Sunday 3pts 3rebs 1ast ---- just like what I’ve posted on my first post, Jay would be the SMB’s trump card in this series. He can easily create and take advantage of them ismatch on the 3 and 4 positions.

Peña, Dorian 3pts 6rebs vs Reavis, Rafi 5pts 8rebs 1stls 2blks ---the lone bright spot for BGK.

Racela, Olsen 4pts 3reb 5ast 3stls vs Tubid, Ronald 12pts 4rebs --- Stat (and impact in the game) wise Olsen edged Tubid in this game. Fireworks and lots of action from hereon. Racela isn’t the type to back down from rugged and physical plays.

Cortez, Mike 2pts 5rebs 3asts 1blk vs Artadi, Paul 12pts 2asts 2stls ---- interestinglyArtadi went on (again) for a rampage but wasn’t asble to sustain his energy. Or better yet, kudos for SMB adjustment in defense.

Pennisi, Mick 4pts 4reb vs Mamaril, Billy 3pts 2rebs

Ildefonso, Danny 6pts 3reb vs Menk, Eric 2pts 5rebs 1stl ---- truth be told, Menk’s still not his usual self and it would take a while (hopefully not til this series is over)

Pingris, Marc 14pts 6rebs 3asts 2blks vs Intal, JC 0pts 1rebs ---a no contest. Marc provided the hustle, intensity and hunger for his team. He made the difference down the stretch stealing the limelight from his fellow SMB players.

Custodio, Bonbon DNP vs Lanete, Chico 0pts 3rebs 2asts 2stls

thanks guys for bearing with me...

hehehe, kakasakit tlga ng mata kinahinatnan ng post ko, but i hope all of you would rather focus on the content.

1game suspension binigay kay DI at Ping, and they can't play for game 3 tomorrow. THis i think would not make a great difference, kahit wala un dalawa dehado parin sa match-up BGk, ganyan kalalim ang SMB.

Goodluck for both team!
