PBA Mythical 5 is a FREE web-based salary cap type of fantasy basketball game. The game is simple:

• You are the general manager of your own basketball team composed of PBA players.
• Given a starting budget of 1 Million Pesos, you must form your 5-man roster.
• Before the roster deadline for the week, you can change any player on your roster. However, to make it more challenging, we've implemented a trade restriction rule.
• Deadline for setting up your weekly roster is every Saturday at 2 PM. You should finalize your roster before the deadline because any changes you make on your roster after the deadline will only take into effect the following week.
• Your players earn fantasy points for your team based on their actual performances in PBA games.
• Player statistics included in the computation of fantasy points are points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.
• Salaries of players may increase or decrease every week.
• At the end of the conference, the top teams based on their total fantasy points get to win prizes!

Eligibility to Play

The game is open to anybody who wants to play but is subject to the Terms of Service set by the website.

Creating A New Team

If you are not yet a registered member, creating a new account is easy and absolutely FREE! Simply go to the registration page by clicking the Sign Up for Free link. Complete the form with the required information. Upon submitting the completed form, an activation link will be sent to the e-mail address you have provided. Be sure to activate your account first in order for you to log in.

If you are already a member, just sign in and click Create Team.

Once you have logged in to your account, click Create Team. Enter a team name when prompted. Upon submitting the team name, you will be asked to choose which league to join into. Only 1 team per account can be created.

Leagues

Each team is required to join a league. You can join a random league, join an existing league, or create your own new league.

1. Join Random League - This option allows you to join a random league. You will be randomly placed in a league along with other managers like you.



2. Join Existing League - This option allows you to join an open league or your friend's league. Search the league name and, if required, enter the league's password.



3. Create New League - This option allows you to create and name your own league. You can also supply a password to it for exclusivity. If you do not supply a password, it will be open to all the other members.

Once you have created or joined a league, you can no longer switch to another league.

Each league can have a maximum of twenty (20) teams.

Duration of the Game

The game will start on on the first day of the 34th Season of the PBA - Philippine Cup Conference which is on Oct 11. Teams need to have a complete 5-man roster by then because the roster deadline is every Saturday at 2 PM.

Managing Your Team

Your team consists of 5 players: Two guards, two forwards and one center. You need to fill all 5 positions in order to be valid team and earn fantasy points.

To select players for your team, select Change Roster from the menu. On the Change Roster page, you can set your team's roster for the upcoming week (week# is indicated on the page) by adding or removing players. Once you have selected your five players, your team is ready.

After the roster deadline, the roster you had selected will be your new team. Also, you can now have the option to make any changes to your roster for next week. GMs can see their new team in the Current Roster page.

GMs can change their roster at any time and as often times as they want, as long as it is prior to the roster deadline.

Trade Restriction

Once you remove a player that you have already used in the previous week and the roster deadline has passed, you can no longer get that player again.

For example, we are at week #1 and your roster includes Helterbrand (G), Caguioa (G), Santos (F), Williams (F) and Taulava (C). While the game is still in week #1, you can setup your roster for week #2. You decided to remove Caguioa (G) and added Miller (G). While the trade deadline for week #2 hasn't arrived yet, you can still add Caguioa if you decide to switch back. However, if the roster deadline has already passed, your roster will be Helterbrand (G), Miller (G), Santos (F), Williams (F) and Taulava (C) and you can no longer add Caguioa to your roster for the rest of the conference. Caguioa will be added to your Traded Players.

This prevents GMs from adding a player for his roster for one week then dropping him the following week then adding the same player again on a later week.

Trade History

You can see the list of successfully traded players of your team by visiting the Traded Players page. Here, you can see the date when a player was removed from your roster.

All players that are included in this list can no longer be added again to your roster for the entire conference. This list is updated after the roster deadline.

Roster Deadline

GMs need to set their 5-man roster for the upcoming week before the roster deadline. Failure to have a complete set of 5-man roster will make the team ineligible to earn fantasy points.

Roster deadline occurs every Saturday starting at 2:00 PM upto 3:00 PM. During this time, no trades are allowed. This is when the system processes all the trades.

Salary of Players

Salaries of players may increase or decrease during the conference depending on the demand for them. The more teams who get a certain player, the higher his salary will be. The productivity of a player may also affect his salary.

Salary changes occur only once every week after the trade deadline. You can see the list of players who got the biggest salary increase or decrease in the Top Gainers/Losers page.

Fantasy Points

The fantasy points of your players are computed at 12AM PHT using the following formula:

Ranking

There are two types of ranking in PBA Mythical 5:

• Overall Rank - refers to your current rank among all other teams
• League Rank - refers to your current rank in your league

All rankings are computed at 12AM PHT.

Winners

Winners will be notified via e-mail by support@pbfantasy.com. Instructions on how to claim your prize will also be sent through e-mail. Winner e-mail notification other than from support@pbfantasy.com are not considered valid and will not be entertained by Creating Next Concepts, Inc.

In the event of a tie at any prize level, the following tie breaking rules will be applied in this order:

Tiebreaker 1: Team with the most total fantasy points and total team value.

Tiebreaker 2: Team with the most total fantasy points and total team value in the last two (2) weeks, last four (4) weeks, last six (6) weeks, and so on until the tie has been broken.

In the event that a tie has not been broken after applying Tiebreaker 2, it will be at the sole discretion of Creating Next Concepts, Inc. to determine whether the prize would be equally shared or another tiebreaker rule would be applied.

Only members who are Filipino citizens or are legal residents of the Philippines for a minimum of 5 years at the start of the game, are eligible to win prizes. If you are a Filipino living abroad, you can ask your family or friends to claim your prize on your behalf with the necessary authorization.

A member is only eligible to win one prize (except monthly prizes) per conference of PBFantasy.com PBA Mythical 5. If a member wins more than one prize, other than monthly prizes, he is entitled to win only the prize that has the greatest monetary value.
