UPDATE: Jeffrey Zgoda of The Star Tribune reports that this summer, the Minnesota Timberwolves must decide whether they will extend F Ryan Gomes' conditional five-year contract he signed two summers ago and pay him $4.2 million for next season. If they decide not to do so, he will be paid about $1 million for each of those remaining three seasons.
FANTASY IMPACT: Gomes scored 26 points Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies, leading them to their fourth straight win. He has played more consistent basketball over the last six games, and seems to be playing for that extension. Gomes is averaging 14.1 points and four rebounds per game over his last six.
